'Rachel Gibson's work reflects an intuitive connection with experience and memory. Using references from the natural world, she explores the perception of nature as an entity which exists on the edge, treading a delicate balance between creation and destruction, growth and loss. By experiencing the landscape as a wanderer she remains distant from one particular place, producing work that is rich in atmosphere.'

Working with different drawing, printmaking and painting media, sometimes combining them with elements of video and sound, allows her to reflect her interest in the land, it's history and it's poetry, creating imagery which is both subtle and mysterious.
